Contra Costa County and leading philanthropic foundations came together to make Stand Together Contra Costa a reality by developing a robust public/private funding partnership that enables both the County and philanthropy to leverage their financial commitments and institutional competencies to fund this crucial program. On September 19, 2017, the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to approve funding for the program after receiving commitments of intent from several philanthropic organizations pledging their financial support. The funding received for this network represents an extraordinary and unprecedented expression of solidarity with our immigrant families in Contra Costa County. Without the support of The Y&H Soda Foundation, The San Francisco Foundation, The California Endowment, The East Bay Community Foundation, The Firedoll Foundation, The Richmond Community Foundation and Contra Costa County this program would not exist.
